Summer Water
Award Winning Wine. Approachable Vibe.
Our rosé is among the best in the world… but don’t just take our word for it. For the past four years, Summer Water has been rated ‘excellent’ with 90+ ratings from Wine Enthusiast — ranking us higher than the #1 Provence rosé. In 2020, our vintage was named the top rosé on Wine Enthusiast’s ‘Best 100 Wines’ before earning a 91 point score in 2021, 90 point score in 2022, and 91 in 2023. Not to mention, we’ve been awarded accolades like ‘Best Buy’ and ‘Editor’s Choice’ by the industry’s most revered wine experts and publications.
Our Grapes Were Born For This
Our commitment to making exceptional rosé starts with our grapes. Most rosés are made from ‘red wine rejects’ — the grapes winemakers don’t want to use for red wine. As a result, producers need to add sugar and other ingredients to compensate for their low-quality fruit. Our winemaker, Ryan Zotovich, takes a different approach, sourcing only the best possible grapes from California’s Central Coast to make the best possible rosé. The result: clean, dry, sugar free rose that lets the grapes speak for themselves.
Homegrown in the Central Coast of California
California’s Central Coast is the premier grape-growing region on the West Coast of the United States. Why? The dynamic range of day-and-night temperatures paired with unique limestone and clay-infused soil creates an optimal growing environment for premium-quality rosé grapes. Daytime heat from inland valleys allow our grapes to ripen to maximum maturity while cool nights and morning fog from the Pacific Ocean allow our grapes to preserve their natural acidity. For Summer Water, we utilize the entire central coast — from Monterey to Santa Barbara — to emphasize each region's unique notes in the overall blend.
